My 2014 Predictions.

Happy new year everyone.

Sorry for completely ignoring the blog. Been having a hard time trying to stay awake after working double shifts for months on end.

So I've decided to do this predictions post to get me back into the swing of things.

Morning Musume '14

They will perform on Kohaku!!
I was disappointed that they didn't get invited to perform but as the saying goes "when one door closes, another opens".

They appear more on TV.
And not just for promotion of singles/albums, but for just being them.

Sayumi doesn't announce her graduation.
Like hell she can. She wants to perform at Kohaku again so she has to stay until she's 27.

If you follow me on twitter, you'll know that I started using this hash tag for Zukki. THIS IS HER YEAR TO SHINE!!!!! She's defending her weight on TV, her vocals ate beautiful and she (finally) got a line in a single that's in the section that will be performed. THIS IS HER YEAR!!!!!

Berryz Koubou

They actually get a budget.
Bigger budget means better PV.

They make an album that's not boring.
I was very disappointed in their last 2 albums. 6th Otakebi Album was the first album I got from them back when I first started getting into Hello! Project. So for me that is their greatest album.

Make it the Berryz Koubou show not the miyabi/Risako show featuring Berryz Koubou.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think there is anything wrong with having the two best singers in the group lead but when they sung 3/4 of the song but themselves for majority of the single releases, it does get borning......quickly.

They remind people that they do have great group chemistry.
This relates to their budget. Remember when they had good PVs and their group chemistry was showing more? Didn't they have a better budget then?

No-one graduates.
I've been reading that a lot of people think that someone (namely Captain) or all are going to graduate this year. Please don't.

C-ute

No-one graduates.
They've got a good thing going at the moment. Having a member graduate now will hurt the group, especially with the tabloid media trying to get Airi fired for having a (non existent) relationship.

S/milage

They continue to get happy, smiley songs.
Yatteruchan was the best thing to happen to them this year. They need more songs like that.

They step up their game and have a chance to perform at Budokan in 2015.
With J=J in the screen, the girls need to step up and show that they are not another Berryz Koubou.

Katsuta Rina becomes interesting.
The girl needs to act like she wants to be there. Right now, I feel it would be best if she gtfo. She got picked over Kanoko Rie who just left H!PK after 5 years. A girl who always showed us just how much she wants to be an idol. A girl who never got the chance to debut, but this girl did and she looks like she doesn't want to be there.

Nakanishi and Takeuchi get a Photo book.
Kana is beautiful and Akari has this tomboy coolness going on. Wouldn't a pb with just them in it acting like lover be great? Especially if Sayumi or Fukuda puts in the ideas.

Juice=Juice

They perform on music station.
They're good enough and hungry enough to do this.

They announce that their going Budokan before S/milage.
It happened to C-ute, it could happen to them.

They release an album and have their first nation wide tour.
Nuff said.

Hello! Project Kenshuusei

A new unit is announced.
I like the idea of having the girls from the 12th gen audition forming their own unit. Also Sasaki Rikako, Hamaura Ayano, Kosuga Fuyuka and Tanabe Nanami need to debut. So that's two new units I would like to see announced.

On a side note, it would be nice to see another group achieve that #1 on or icon. I think that either C-ute or Juice=Juice might get that what with their sales and promotions.

Amazuppai is wrong on soooooo many levels

So TPF have subbed Ousama Game and i have just finished watching it.

It's good but.....

Amazuppai Haru ni Sakura Saku is the WORST ending theme EVER!!!! 

I won't spoil the film for you but when it ends, this happy pile of shit plays and your left thinking "what idiot decided it would be good to end a horror movie with a happy idolly song?"

When Gomennasai ended, we got this dark rock song playing and it fit the mood perfectly. So how could they end this excellent film with the crap?

Ousama Game is excellent. Yurina and Airi are brilliant, the storyline is excellent, the acting is top notch and i love everything about this film. It's just the ending song. 

WHY???

C-ute's B-side would have made a better ending than Amazuppa-pile of shit. 

Originally, i liked the song, not enough to stick it on my iPod but i liked it.

Now, After watching the film, Tsunku, how could you do that to this film. It's just wrong on so many levels. Why do you want to try to kill everyone? Isn't the ending enough? do you have to put a happy song on when we're trying to close our mouths?

Wrong! Completely Wrong.

But the film is AMAZING!!!!!

CALLING ALL CHISATO FANS!!!!!!

I don't usually get in to arguments on Youtube (because i have a life) But this idiot has the nerve to say that Chisato sounds like a granpa and can't sing and sucks live.

I was watching the double Screen Live Ver of Chou HAPPY SONG that mbcmschannel uploaded, and decided to read the comments, like you do. and this idiot says that Chisato doesn't deserve to sing with Miyabi. Chisato, the Miyabi wota, the girl who loves it when she gets to spend time with her idol, the girl who always has nothing but praise for Miyabi doesn't deserve to sing with her??? Now the Soulless Demon Child didnn't deserve to sing with Takahashi Ai but due to her popularity (all be it from UFA) she got to.



Chisato sounds amazing, they all do. So i'm shaming theme here. I know, i should be muture and just ignore it. But. . . . THEY SAID CHISATO SOUNDS LIKE A GRANDPA!!!!!! CHISATO, ONE OF THE BEST SINGERS IN H!P, SINGS LIKE A GRANDPA!!!!!

HOW????Do they ear drums? Are they tone death? Has listening to Sashihara Rino ruined their apprication for great vocals? (Don't hate, the song is good but you all know she sucks)

I haven't replied because i might do something that i'll regret (like telling them what they need their hearing testing and where to go find idols that actuall sound like grandpa who actually are grandpas and what nots)

On a carmer note, Captain get lines with the lead 4 of Berrys in a single. I know that she gots lines in other releases but this one is special. This is a collab single and out of the 3 back Berryz, she gets lines. Fangirling.

Because in the Middle of Happiness

Because Tsunku IS his own biggest troll, he's created a piece of genius with Because Happiness by Berryz Koubou and Shiawase no Tochuu by C-ute.

First C-ute's song (just because it was released first)

It's such a beautiful Ballad. It shows off the girls voices nicely.

Now Berryz Song

I really wanted to like this song when I first heard it. It was happy and upbeat but i thought it was lacking something, like it wasn't quite finished. There are loads of empty spaces in it and i got frustrated with it. I felt like Tsunku wasn't paying attention to Berryz and gave them a half finished song.

Together

Together, they create this great little bit of happiness. This is proof that Tsunku can still make us cry in a good way as well as in negetive ways (still haven't forgiven him for the chicken song)

I've tried to combine the lyrics of both songs and who is singing what lines. Projecthello.com has the lyrics for both but only C-ute's song is colour coded. I've only listed solo singers but if it's no right, let me know and i'll change it.

30 Day Idol Challenge: Days 5 - 8

Sorry i missed a few days. I'm just gonna do the ones that i missed now along with today's one.

Day 5: Favourite Group?

I blame their music for that. It was their music that got me hooked. I liked what i heard and i loved what i saw and just became hooked on them.

Day 6: Favourite Unit?

High-King. This unit features my most loved and most disliked members of H!P. But i absolutely love this unit. It has the best dancers in H!P and the best vocalists as well, not to mention it was the second unit to feature an Egg who was/still is as cute as a button.

I love the songs given to this group, C/C (Cinderella Complex), Kioku no Meiro, Destiny Love and the cover song, Diamonds, i even love watching them perform them too.

I'm hoping that that Tsunku doesn't mess this group up now that Aichan and Yuukarin are gone (i know Yuuka hasn't left yet but she never going to get the chance to perform with them again now is she?!), I'm hoeing that if he does decide to being this group back, he'll add Meimei (just for the cute factor) and either Ishida or Haruka. Ishida for her dancing and Haruka for her vocals. I really don't want Riho there because i feel that she needs to learn to put some soul into her singing.........and this group only needs one attention seeking whore and Tanaka has that spot.

Day 7: Favourite couple/duo?

There are plenty of duos in H!P but i guess that i would go with AiGaki. I think it's because of how long they have been together that i choose them. They were like the big sister and mother of MM and when Aichan graduated, i could feel how hard it was for them to say goodbye. It was the most emotional Graduation I've seen since I've become a fan.

It's going to be weird not seeing Ai in MM and when Gaki decided that it's time for her to go (or when management tell her to go), it will be another hard graduation on Sayu.

Day 8:Favourite Voice?

I couldn't decide between Ai, Linlin, Miya, Chisa and Yuuka. All of them are different and i love them all. Granted 3/5 are not my favourite members but i have ranked them all high when it comes to vocals.

Aichan's vocals are amazing and will be sorely missed, linlin was extremely underused but when it was used, she blew me away, Miyabi is the voice of Berryz and the most consistent during lives, Chisato is finally being pushed for the powerhouse that she is and Yuuka has the most cutest vocals but is able to keep up with Ai and Tanaka i High-King. It would have been nice to of had these singers in a group together but I'm hoping that Chisa and Miya get to sing a duet together soon.

Reading comments on Berryz new pv, a lot of people are comparing EVERYTHING to Lady Gaga

 



 

 It seems people have forgotten about decades like tthe 60's with flower power and free love

the 70's with disco

and 80's glam pop/rock

and lets not forget the style icon Grace Jones, who is the ORIGINAL.

This lady is 62 and STILL rocking her individual style

You can not deny that Gaga is just a copy of the icon.  Top models like Tyra Banks have commented on what this woman has done for fashion.

Now this

And this is .....WHY THE HELL WOULD YOU PUT YOUR DANCERS IN GIANT CONDOM?!?!?!

and WHY THE HELL ARE YOU IN AN EGG?!?!

Anyway. I think the reason why Berryz are dressed like that

Is because they are going to American for Sakura Con. This is a good way to show the american fans that UFA are attempting to get in touch with us western fans, and by copying Lady Gaga, or more like paying hommage to her, is a way of getting their name accross.

Now no offence to any Gaga fans out there, but i've never been a big fan of hers and the moment i started paying an interest in her, Grace's name came up. Since than, i've been a firm belever that Gaga is trying, and successfully failing at, copying her innovative fashion.

Granted that most of the girls look ok in this style (Momo needs more make up. it looks like they forgot about her and had to rush her styling .... again) But i think that this adds to the PV. I think that they should of had the girls dancing in these costumes, becoming the (excuse the pun) "heroine"'s  they talk about.

If your going to compare these girls to Gaga, remember a few things

1. Lady Gaga is insane. Remember, she turned up to the Grammys in an egg and the MTV VMA'a in a Meat dress.
2. No one has ever refered to the BK girls as having Man parts (that i know of)
3. Their music is completely different
4. Berryz has Tsunku and UFA production staff for their music while Lady Gaga dose her own thing

Keeping those in mind, UFA have done a great job creating a PV that is different to what's out there at the moment with their limited PV budget.

UFA really need to fight

I just had this thought, "Who is going to be Berryz rivals next week?" Something in me just said that no matter how epic the song and PV is, If there is any Artist that is more popular than the girls, their chances of getting a high place in the weekly rankings get slimmer.

For C-ute, their only rivals i can see is Arashi which, no offence to any C-ute fans, is already a loss for the top spot. But they can still aim for No2.

Berryz on the other hand have a really fight on their hands. Both Idoling and Akanishi Jin are releasing singles the same day.

Idoling - Yarakai Heart. No offence to any Idoling fans out there but it's bad. Compared to Heroine, It's really shit but they are, at the moment, more popular than Berryz.

Here's hoping UFA show some fighting spirit for these girls. They've worked really hard and deserve decent sales for once.

(And i'm partly upset that i have to wait another 2 weeks after the release dates to get my copy of their singles. stupid air miles.)

10. Kirari - TGS

These girls are talented and this song is a good song, i just wished that Avex started them out in the indies first then went major as like Momoclo and S/milegs did just to gain more fans. These girls have a bright future ahead and i hope that they continue to produce great singles. I especally like their new one, Love like Candy Floss.

9. Monster - Arashi

Now i don't really listen to a lot of male artist in general, but i heard this song on another blog and instantly fell in love with it and the video. I later started to listen to more of their singles, watched a few episodes of that varity show where they have no idea who their guests are and even been watching drama that Matsumoto Jun has been in (Hana Yori Dango, Gokusen)

8. Onaji Jikyuu de Hataraku Tomodachi no Bijin Mama - S/Mileage

 Aside from the talking parts, i love this song. S/mileage are going from strength to strength, And Congratulations on winning Best New Artist and beating SNSD. GO S/MILEGS

7. Ikuze! Kaito Shojo - Momoiro Clover

The best Debut single this year, it's upbeat, energtic and catchy, not to mention, the PV is great too. It's a shame that their now with King Records cos their PV for Kimi no Sekai was completely wrong on all levels. If they continue to going down that road, i know that i won't have the same respect for them that i have a the moment

6. Aitai Lonley Christmas - C-ute

Such a beautiful song, and Chisa's vocals are just amazing, Maimi and Airi  better watch out, Chisa is stealing their limelight and about time too. I agree that this song should have com higher but i'm not the biggest fan or ballads and making it into my to ten was an achivement in it self.

5. Shunkan Sentimental- Scandal

 Although i don't really follw them, when i heard this song, i fell in love with it. It made me want to just rock out with them and the lead's vocals are amazing

4. Dance de Bakoom - C-ute

 thr lyrics, dance and Chisa made this song for me.

3. Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game - Morning Musume

Their fairest song to with this line up. I hate the costumes, hate majority of the video, hate how Tanaka steals Eri's moment, but this is their best song since Nanchatte Renai was released.

2. Otakebi Boy WAO! - Berryz Koubou

Was in love with this song from the start. Epic song, strong vocals, Risako actually made me change my mind about her vocals with this song. This song should have gone to number 1 but alas, due to H!P's main problem being promotion, it didn't.

1. Beginner - AKB48

Surprised that AKB had one of my favourite songs this year? Well don't be. Since i heard this song, it's been in my head and can't seem to get it out. I really wish that they did dance shots like H!P do so i can learn this dance. The dance videos that they have for this single going around, the camera, for me, moves around too muce and i tend not to want to learn frn dance covers cos they tend to either mess up or miss some movements (worst personality treat i have is being a perfectionist, it's either perceft or not doing it al all)

My Bottom Ten Songs of 2010, no explaination need, i just find these songs either annoying, plain, boring or i just have no real reason to want to like it except that i just don't want to listen to it.

So the best song of 2010 is C-ute's Aitai Lonely Chistmas. something that i was expecting really. but what really got me was how many votes LilPir got for both their songs...and how many votes Seishun Collection got. I really didn't expect those songs to even gain a vote.
 
The votes can say one thing, but in terms of sales, C-ute's highest sales landed them in 6th place amoungst H!P. MM claimed the top 3 spots with all of their singles, while Berrys Koubou's Otakebi Boy came 4th and S/Mileage 5th with Bijin Mama. (I've been making a Database with all H!P singles and their sales figures and stuff...i know i'm really sad but at least i can say to an employer that i can set up and run a database, pratice makes perfect). Heres a break down of how the main groups/soloist faired this year

• Morning Musume - Sold over 130,000 copies of their singles, highest chat position was #3 for Seishun Collection
