My Top and bottom Tens of 2010

I'm going to do a overall thingy here cos i'm not quite sure when i'm going to be able to do a H!P only one.

My Top ten songs of 2010

10. Kirari - TGS
These girls are talented and this song is a good song, i just wished that Avex started them out in the indies first then went major as like Momoclo and S/milegs did just to gain more fans. These girls have a bright future ahead and i hope that they continue to produce great singles. I especally like their new one, Love like Candy Floss.

9. Monster - Arashi
Now i don't really listen to a lot of male artist in general, but i heard this song on another blog and instantly fell in love with it and the video. I later started to listen to more of their singles, watched a few episodes of that varity show where they have no idea who their guests are and even been watching drama that Matsumoto Jun has been in (Hana Yori Dango, Gokusen)

8. Onaji Jikyuu de Hataraku Tomodachi no Bijin Mama - S/Mileage
Aside from the talking parts, i love this song. S/mileage are going from strength to strength, And Congratulations on winning Best New Artist and beating SNSD. GO S/MILEGS

7. Ikuze! Kaito Shojo - Momoiro Clover
The best Debut single this year, it's upbeat, energtic and catchy, not to mention, the PV is great too. It's a shame that their now with King Records cos their PV for Kimi no Sekai was completely wrong on all levels. If they continue to going down that road, i know that i won't have the same respect for them that i have a the moment

6. Aitai Lonley Christmas - C-ute
Such a beautiful song, and Chisa's vocals are just amazing, Maimi and Airi  better watch out, Chisa is stealing their limelight and about time too. I agree that this song should have com higher but i'm not the biggest fan or ballads and making it into my to ten was an achivement in it self.

5. Shunkan Sentimental- Scandal
Although i don't really follw them, when i heard this song, i fell in love with it. It made me want to just rock out with them and the lead's vocals are amazing

4. Dance de Bakoom - C-ute
thr lyrics, dance and Chisa made this song for me.

3. Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game - Morning Musume
Their fairest song to with this line up. I hate the costumes, hate majority of the video, hate how Tanaka steals Eri's moment, but this is their best song since Nanchatte Renai was released.
2. Otakebi Boy WAO! - Berryz Koubou

Was in love with this song from the start. Epic song, strong vocals, Risako actually made me change my mind about her vocals with this song. This song should have gone to number 1 but alas, due to H!P's main problem being promotion, it didn't.

1. Beginner - AKB48

Surprised that AKB had one of my favourite songs this year? Well don't be. Since i heard this song, it's been in my head and can't seem to get it out. I really wish that they did dance shots like H!P do so i can learn this dance. The dance videos that they have for this single going around, the camera, for me, moves around too muce and i tend not to want to learn frn dance covers cos they tend to either mess up or miss some movements (worst personality treat i have is being a perfectionist, it's either perceft or not doing it al all)

My Bottom Ten Songs of 2010, no explaination need, i just find these songs either annoying, plain, boring or i just have no real reason to want to like it except that i just don't want to listen to it.

10. Genkimono de Ikou! - Mano Erina
8. Onegai Dakara... - Mano Erina
7. Going On! - Guardians 4
6. Campus Life ~ Umarete Kite Yokatta~ - C-ute
5. Chance no Junban AKB48
5. Idolulu - Lil Pri
4. Little Princess Lil Pri - Lil Pri
3. Ponytail to Shushu - AKB48
2,Gagaga - SDN48
1. Seishun Collection - Morning Musume

Poll results - Best Song of 2010

Last year, H!P released 25 singles, 6 albums, 2 groups and 2 collaborative singles.

They have sold nearly 500,000 copies of their singles and nearly 60,000 copies of their albums.

I know it’s not much in comparison to Idol Projects like Johnny’s and OOO48, But this is the Idol company that got me hooked on the whole Idol culture to begin with, and i’ll keep supporting them. Plus this post is all about them.

C-ute Aitai Lonely Christmas

Released: December 1

Total Sales: 23,682 (1st week sales)

Weekly Chart Ranking: 6

No. Of Votes: 8

So the best song of 2010 is C-ute's Aitai Lonely Chistmas. something that i was expecting really. but what really got me was how many votes LilPir got for both their songs...and how many votes Seishun Collection got. I really didn't expect those songs to even gain a vote.

The votes can say one thing, but in terms of sales, C-ute's highest sales landed them in 6th place amoungst H!P. MM claimed the top 3 spots with all of their singles, while Berrys Koubou's Otakebi Boy came 4th and S/Mileage 5th with Bijin Mama. (I've been making a Database with all H!P singles and their sales figures and stuff...i know i'm really sad but at least i can say to an employer that i can set up and run a database, pratice makes perfect). Heres a break down of how the main groups/soloist faired this year
  • Morning Musume - Sold over 130,000 copies of their singles, highest chat position was #3 for Seishun Collection
  • C-ute - Sold nearly 100,000 copies of their singles, highest chart position was #5 for both Campus Life and Shock
  • Berryz Koubou - Sold over 80,000 copies of their singles, highest chart position was #3 for Otakebi Boy WAO!
  • S/Mileage - Sold nearly 80,000 copies of their major and indie singles, highes chart position was #5 for both Bijin Mama and Yume Miru 15sai
  • Mano Erina, Sold over 40,000 copies of her singles, highest chart position was #7 for Genkinmono de Ikou!

Single Rankings - C-ute, Guardians 4, S/mileage and Shugo Chara Egg

So a lot of fanblogs have been doing rankings lately which has made me decide to listen to every Momosu, C-ute, Berryz, Shugo Chara Egg, Guardians 4, S/mileage and Manoeri singles ever released (OMG it was painful to listen to at times).

Unfortunately i will NEVER do a ranking for Manoeri songs as there is really only two of her songs that i can listen to without wanting to either jump in front of a bus or slit my wrists. Their just way too boring and depressing for any mentally unstable person to listen to. And thats such a sham cos she's such a cute girl in both her looks and her vocals. Buy the way, the only songs of hers i can listen to are Summer party and Hara no watsitcalled (the latter would have sounded better if someone else sung it)

So, i'll start with the groups that have the least amount of singles first (because i really CBA to do MM and BK yet). In the case of SCE, i'm adding their B-sides from Guardians 4 last two singles since they only have two actual releases.

Shugo Chara Egg.

1. Minna no Tamago
This one came tops for me as it's the best song freaturing the 1st Gen SCE members. It also went well as an opening song for the Anime as it's fun, hyper and very childish.

2. Arigatou ~ Ookiku Kansha!~
As i said when i reviewed Going On single, i feel that this is the best song from 2nd Gen SCE. it's not the best song but it alot better than Shugo Shugo.

3. Watashi no Tamago
Not the best song but it's not as bad as

4. Shugo Shugo
Just wrong. Completely wrong.

Guardians 4

1. Party Time
It fun, upbeat, does exactly what it says on the tin.

2. School Days
Lets just say that every thing from her down with this group is a loss.

3. Omakase! Guardian
When i first heard it, i as like "Who took my kawaii SCE away?" Then when i found out who was in the group i was like "Now i know that Aika needs more experience being as she's in MM, but WHY? and WHY put the BFG in a group with midgets?" Questions that will never be answered. (hopefully i'll get my wish and Yurina knocks out Aika . . . . by accident!?!?!)

4. Going On
. . . . . . .
Nuff said

S/mileage

1. Suki-chan
I love this song. it cute, fun, upbeat and puts a smile on your face. Exactly what S/mileage have been placed on this planet to do.

2. aMa no Jaku
It's only number two because i like the lyrics to the song. It's not your standard love/break up/heartbroken song. It's truthful and best describes what i'm feeling when i'm being annoyed by drunk pricks who won't leave me alone even when i lie about being a lesbian just to get rid of them. Excuse me for being gorgeous.

3. Asu wa way to long for a title especially for someone who can't even speak her own language right without mucking up
It's cute and does put a smile on my face but it does get annoying after a while.

C-ute

1. Tokaikko Junjou
The Best C-ute song EVER.
Nuff Said

2. Wakkyanai (Z)
This is their best Indie single. Shame Megumi left.

3. Shock
YES - i put is as number 3. Main reason being . . . . . no Yajima. My top 3 C-ute songs all have very little/no Maimi solos what so ever.

4. Bye Bye Bye
My first C-ute release. I love it that all the members get a solo line however small. And the only song where i don't try to block out Maimi's voice since i think that her voice suits this style of song better Ookina The Shit Song.

5. Edo handball song
It's funny and weird and for some reason when it plays on my iPod, i don't skip it like i usually do with C-ute songs.

6. Meguru Koi no Kisetsu
Yeah next

7. Soku Dakishimete
1st ever C-ute song i listened to and LORD don't those outfits suck. Again Megumi makes this song bearable.

8. Massara Blue Jeans
If i don't watch the video then i'm not reminded of the Love Me Love Me Love Me Love Me part and a 10 yr old Maimai....

9. Sakura Chirari
Aside from the overload of pink, it's cute and bareable. It's not with the minimal Maimi lot because of the pink.

10. Namida no Iro
It's a nice song and i'm empressed with Airi that even after all that dancing, she still hit that high note at the end in live performance. She could teach a certian person from BK how to do that for Rival and now Tomodachi

11. FOREVER LOVE
One of the reasons why i just not that interested in C-ute

12. The Cover song
It a good song, just wished someone other than Maimi was singing

13. LALALA
now out of these last three songs, i can listen to this one. . . . . when sung by the whole of H!P

14. Everyday
I can listen to the instremtal, thats a good song

15. The Shit Song
Should have never been aloud to have been written let alone sung

I'll carry on with my rankings but it's 3am and i have to at least get some sleep during the night hours.

Welcome To My Blog

Well hello there all you Hello! Project fans. My name is Kira and welcom to my Blog.

Hopefully in this blog, i will voice my views on whats happening in Hello! Project and my reviews. Hopefully you'll all enjoy what i write and if you don't, well please comment and lets discuss. i'm always open to others views.

So how about i give tou a little bit about myself...

Well my name is Kira, short for Shakira but ever since "Shakira" the singer came out, i've been asked to shake like Shakira and whether or not my hips lie.....yeah so i'm gonna legally change it to Kira when i have enough money to do so.

I got into Hello! Project like so many others...I'm an anime fan. i was looking for the PV for Reason by Nami Tamaki after watching Gundam Seed Destiny, when You Tube suggested that i might like this video:

Well they were right. i found it quite interesting (QI - name of one of my favourite shows) so i looked into this group more.

I know what everyone says about wikipedia, that you shouldn't trust what's writen there, ut in my case, i found it a good source of information on Hello! Project. That site helped my find out that Koi no Jubaku was NOT Berryz Koubou's current single, that the are only 7 girls left in the group and the little one (Shimizu Saki) which i first thought was the youngest was actually the oldest and the one who i throught was the oldest member (Natsuyaki Miyabi) is actually the thrid youngest.

That was in Febuary 2009. I did manage to catch up pretty quickly with Berryz and at present, they are my favourite group in Hello Project. I decided to concentrate on the current groups (and Mano Erina) mainly because i'm a university student and i didn't have the time to go looking back through the past groups even tho i found a few songs that i like.

so my current ranking of Hello! Project's current groups are:

Berryz Koubou

Morning Musume

Buono!

S/Mileage

C-ute

Shugo Chara Egg

Guardian's 4

Mano Erina

I know, i ranked C-ute second to last but that has to do with that monstrosity that i can only say really freaks me out even know if i mention it's name, which just thinking about it is doing right this minute (Ōkina Ai de Motenashite). no offence but i can not stand that song and once it's in my head it won't leave (DAMN IT, DAMN IT TO HELL). And as for Manoeri, well most of her songs are completely boring and i'm more a upbeat kinda girl....i love to dance.

Now as for my favourite members, i'll give the top 5

Shimizu Saki - i just wish she'd get a chance to shine more in Berryz singles, she's always in the back and as for Ryuusei Boy, never even got the chance to have a line with another member. I love the tone of her voice and she the best dancer in H!P

Takahashi Ai - her voice is just amazing...what more is there to say. she is THE voice of H!P

Natsuyaki Miyabi - again what an amazing voice, i think she's has the third best voice in H!P.

Maeda Yuuki - i think this girl has the talent and the drive to make it far. Looking though all of the H!P Eggs, she's the most used out of the lot. i'm so glad that S/Mileage is debuting this yeah, She deserves it.

Kamei Eri/ Niigaki Risa - i love their personalities and their voices and i think that out of all the 6th gen momosu, Eri should be more in front then Reina, and so should Gaki-san, their oth better singers then Reina needs-to-use-a-brush Tanaka.

I might as well tell you know, but i absolutely can not stand Sugaya Risako, i think she's the lasiest singer AND dancer in H!P. Yes, she is beautiful, but beauty can only do so much.

So hopefully (really gotta stop using that word) you haven't been scared away from me. If you have, i am truely sorry, if not, welcome.

Currently Listening: Anata Nashi de wa Ikite Yukenai -Berryz Kouou
