My 2014 Predictions.

Happy new year everyone.

Sorry for completely ignoring the blog. Been having a hard time trying to stay awake after working double shifts for months on end.

So I've decided to do this predictions post to get me back into the swing of things.

Morning Musume '14

They will perform on Kohaku!!
I was disappointed that they didn't get invited to perform but as the saying goes "when one door closes, another opens".

They appear more on TV.
And not just for promotion of singles/albums, but for just being them.

Sayumi doesn't announce her graduation.
Like hell she can. She wants to perform at Kohaku again so she has to stay until she's 27.

If you follow me on twitter, you'll know that I started using this hash tag for Zukki. THIS IS HER YEAR TO SHINE!!!!! She's defending her weight on TV, her vocals ate beautiful and she (finally) got a line in a single that's in the section that will be performed. THIS IS HER YEAR!!!!!

Berryz Koubou

They actually get a budget.
Bigger budget means better PV.

They make an album that's not boring.
I was very disappointed in their last 2 albums. 6th Otakebi Album was the first album I got from them back when I first started getting into Hello! Project. So for me that is their greatest album.

Make it the Berryz Koubou show not the miyabi/Risako show featuring Berryz Koubou.
Don't get me wrong, I don't think there is anything wrong with having the two best singers in the group lead but when they sung 3/4 of the song but themselves for majority of the single releases, it does get borning......quickly.

They remind people that they do have great group chemistry.
This relates to their budget. Remember when they had good PVs and their group chemistry was showing more? Didn't they have a better budget then?

No-one graduates.
I've been reading that a lot of people think that someone (namely Captain) or all are going to graduate this year. Please don't.

C-ute

No-one graduates.
They've got a good thing going at the moment. Having a member graduate now will hurt the group, especially with the tabloid media trying to get Airi fired for having a (non existent) relationship.

S/milage

They continue to get happy, smiley songs.
Yatteruchan was the best thing to happen to them this year. They need more songs like that.

They step up their game and have a chance to perform at Budokan in 2015.
With J=J in the screen, the girls need to step up and show that they are not another Berryz Koubou.

Katsuta Rina becomes interesting.
The girl needs to act like she wants to be there. Right now, I feel it would be best if she gtfo. She got picked over Kanoko Rie who just left H!PK after 5 years. A girl who always showed us just how much she wants to be an idol. A girl who never got the chance to debut, but this girl did and she looks like she doesn't want to be there.

Nakanishi and Takeuchi get a Photo book.
Kana is beautiful and Akari has this tomboy coolness going on. Wouldn't a pb with just them in it acting like lover be great? Especially if Sayumi or Fukuda puts in the ideas.

Juice=Juice

They perform on music station.
They're good enough and hungry enough to do this.

They announce that their going Budokan before S/milage.
It happened to C-ute, it could happen to them.

They release an album and have their first nation wide tour.
Nuff said.

Hello! Project Kenshuusei

A new unit is announced.
I like the idea of having the girls from the 12th gen audition forming their own unit. Also Sasaki Rikako, Hamaura Ayano, Kosuga Fuyuka and Tanabe Nanami need to debut. So that's two new units I would like to see announced.

On a side note, it would be nice to see another group achieve that #1 on or icon. I think that either C-ute or Juice=Juice might get that what with their sales and promotions.

Should i Take a Chance?

I'll start with the rehearsal video and work my way though what UFP (idiots decide to change their name after finally managing to sell over 100k since 2004)

When i first saw this, i was excited. The song is 100 times better than One Two Three. Everyone has a better chance to shine no matter how small and the hell that is the Tanaka and Soulless Demon Child show ft Morning Musume isn't as in your face as One Two Three was.

As for the dance, Did UFP hire a new choreographer? cos aside from Berryz and Mano, the level of the choreography in the recent H!P singles improved greatly since last year. The formations in this look good and even thogh Zukkini and Harubo are the weakest dancers in their generations, you can see how hard they have worked to catch up to the others. I personally think putting Harubo in DIY was the best move UFP could have done.  Mixing her with H!P members that are around the same age as her has helped her to learn more then she would have in MM (there's only so much she can learn from girls younger than her when Sayu and Tanaka aren't there. Yes Ayummy and SDC can show her how to DANCE sexy, but Nakki, Maimi, Miya and Chii have been active longer and know how to BE sexy.)

As a Suzuki Kanon fan, this dance is great as she actually gets to be in the front. The whole of One Two Three, she was in the back and could hardly be seen.

So the next video released was the Dummy version or the teachers-performed-the-original-routine version.

Slight differences like they moved some members around and added new movements but it's good to see this. Personally it should have come before the group one but this is rare and i hope that they do this again for other singles.

U.G.L.Y!!!! UFP are you actually trying to make the girls look this bad on purpose so that people will feel sorry for them and buy their single so that they don't have to wear these things from hell again?

I like Eripon's the best as it doesn't have that horrible black shirt thingy attached to it. My poor Zukki has the worst one. not only does she have the longerst skirt but where as the others have the body colour going past their waists, her's stops at her waist and the overall design makes her look fat. Tanaka's is ....... get rid of those stupid ears!!! You and Momoworld need a style intervention asap. And as for those things covering their shoes.......

The Temporary Version. I like the setting. I like the lightbeam prison. The effects are over the top and make it look tacky. Ayummy is missing in the dance shot but she was injured at the time so it's understandable but overall, it's better than One Two Three already.

The fire effect would have benn even cooler if ALL members got to do it. Not just SDC and Sayu.

It used to be juyst a straight all standing line then they moved on, now they change levels. I likey.

I'm not a big fan of this version. The effects hurt my eys too much especially the part wheneach member gets their solo line. the changes there are too much.

Positives are that the opening is more epic and Ayummy is in the dance shot.

So they had a performance of the song on Happy Music. Why is it only Tanaka and SDC singing live and the others are lipsycning? we all know they can sing it live so why are UFP making them lipsycn?  And why is Zukki the only one not wearing heels? Did she hurt herself in practice and couldn't where them?

So after that performance came the final MV

THEY GOT RID OF THE GROUP SHOT WITH THE ORIGINAL SET!!!! AND ADDED SOME HORRIBLE FLASHING LIGHT EFFECT WHICH HAS ME SEEING SPOTS!

UFP!! You had the perfect change to listen to what the fans were saying about what they did and didnot like in the other versions of the pv and you diddn't listen to them.

We said we hated the effect - You added more
We said we liked the group shot - You got rid of it completely

Seems like what ever we said we liked, you got rid of and what ever we said we hateded, you gave us more of it. So if we said we hated Zukki, would you give her more lines? more like you'd actually listen to us and get rid of her (Which i don't want by the way, DAIZUKKI)

Overall, i like the song way better than One Two Three but UFP ruined the PV. I can't watch it, the effects make it hard for me to watch it.

News that i've either been neglecting or have just happened.

Yeah as the title says, I've been neglecting some news lately, my bad, so her is another excuse the reason why.

I'VE GOT A JOB!!!!!

Yes, i have finally got a job that will get me off the Job Centre's books. I'm sooooo happy about it but it also means that i won't be updating much as well (like i do that anyway). These last couple of weeks, i've been trying to sort out my life so that i can go to work (and loose my individual fashion sense allong the way) and have neglected to write about things that i really wanted to say.

I'll get the unplesantness out of the way.

WOW What a Surprise. It would have been more of a surprise is it was girls who management don't really push but fans love like Akimoto Sayaka and Sato Amina who are loved by fans but management seem to want to not push them (fucking pricks) but i guess it's just another way for Aki-P to make money out of Meada.

Speaking of Meada, remember when Eri was graduating from MM and H!P and how many PB's and whatnots they released to make as much money as possible out of her before she left? Well i just feel that Aki-P missed a trick here. I'm not talking about her solo career, but just the general air about her graduation feels like he doesn't care (pretty much like how i feel about her anyways). I just think that Aki-P should be trying to push her face into ours more. She's not in the Senbatsu single so why not make her release another single that's not a ballad and release another PB and get her doing more things to make money for himself before she leaves. Lord knows he can do it.

So with one Surprise to another. Senbatsu (yeah i found out that i got this job around than. Yea for me)

The only thing that surprised me was Umeda Ayaka making it. And i'm really happy for her for making it there after everything she's been through. She's worked hard and deserves it. It's just a shame the song sucks so bad that  even my arse-licking ex and his constant talking about work sounds better than that crap.

I've always thought this but i think Aki-p doesn't have an original bone left in his body. The song sounds like Nogizaka46's piece of shit Guruguru Curtain but a slightly better version of it. Come on even the costumes look like better versions.

Shimazaki Haruka

Oh, My Bad. Wrong girl

For some reason she reminds me of Meada. But a more i actually want to get to know her version. I'm still not convinced she's a good actress but put me in a burning room with her and Meada and tell me that i have enough time to save only one of these girls and i'd save Akimoto Sayaka's Calenders Shimazaki.

Speaking of Shimazaki. GO WATCH SHIRITSU BAKALEYA KOUKOU NOW.

Watch it for the hot Johnny's Jr's thats in it not for the boring AKB girls. I really wanted to hit every single girl in that drama (minus that Shinoda wannabe). They pissed me off. the Johnny's boys were more intertaining and the whole drama was based around them anyways. The girls were just an after thought to me while watching this show.

I especally loved Sakuragi Tatsuya (Morimoto Shintaro - Left), Terakawa Maya (Kyomoto Taiga - Middle) and Tachinami Shouhei (Takaki Yuya [Hey! Say! Jump!] - Right). Tatsuya is the tough but very caring leader of the school, Maya is the pretty boy who hates being told he looks like a girl and Shouhei, the oldest student in the school having not been able to graduate his 2nd year of hig school who also does everything in his power to keep out of fights (even though he starts some of them). if i could be bothered to learn more about Johnny's, i would so be a fan of them and fangirl over them all the time.

Ok, so i was basicly fangirling over Bakaleya, but Shimazaki's next drama is one to stay clear of. Majisuka Gakuen 3.

1 was pure crap and 2 was even crapper but watched them anyway cos i just loved thinking how these girls secertly wished they could beat the shit out of their rivals.

Admittedly the story line for 3 is WAY better that 1 which was way better than 2 even though both had the say story line (who can beat the crap out of Meada and win sounds the same as senbatsu, who can take Meada's center position away from her). Shame it's still a pile of shit.

Speaking of piles of shit, Shukan Bunshun. So they get a number of OOO48 no name girls supended/fired and decide to start on Aki-P's golden girls and what happens? he buys their silents. Aki-P, what are you gonig to do about the internet? You can't buy EVERYONE in the world off to keep your golden 20 cash cows safe.

Sashihara Rino, Girl no matter no much you try to deny the rumors, the fact that you answered the phone makes anything you say sound like your covering it up. I don't really care about your love life or your career (mainly cos i think no matter how hard they try to pass you off as a singer, to quote a film i recently watch [Take the Lead], you can make a dollar out of 15 cents) but to use your misjudgement and make you center of HKT48 is just wrong. It's not even a punishment for you, it more of a punishment for the girls of HKT. It's also saying that if Managment love you, you can do no wrong no matter who bad it is. Look at what happened with Sayaka and her non-scandal, she hasn't been properly pushed since that's happened, no matter how hard the fans vote for her to be in senbatsu, they'll never push her. It's obvious that the girls tht get the most screen time, promotion and love from management get to break all the rules and not get punished but everyone else does.

Now, i'll go from one Soloist to another. Kashiwagi Yuki is going to become a soloist. Great, just what we need from the 48 family, another member od Senbatsu getting even more promotion. I really can't be arsed anymore. I'll just stick to the main group and DiVA. i can't take anymore from them.

The one shining grace from all the 48 madness, is Masuda Yuka. I think i'll start to love this girl. She's dropped out of both the Tokyo Dome concert and the Janken tornement to concentrate on her musical. Well done for wanting to spend you time wisely girl. I think that if you spread yourself too thinly, you'll make everything you do suffer, so to do what your doing is very admirable.

Another thing that deservers some respect is UFA. Yes i know, UFA and respect in the same sentance as Deserves. Something you don't hear everyday.

Well they actually listened to the fans and promoted the hell out of Momusu's 50th single selling over 100,000 in a week. Well done UFA, your finally doing what you should have done years ago. It's just a shame that both songs were the Tanaka and SDC show. You have girls that need to gain more confidence in singing and the only way to give them that confidence is to give them lines and you don't give them lines.

I was looking around for the lyrics to The Matenrou Show and i found a translation of Tsunku's blog post about the single. I won't copy it to here as it will just make this post longer than it is but you can read it here. I'm just going to highlight a certain part. This is about One.Two.Three -

The reason I wrote this song in this style is that I wanted to create a song that would represent each of these 10 members faces (voices), and there aren’t many sentences left to just one person, the lines are distributed so that all ten members have a place to stand out.

When do all ten members have a part to stand out on? and don't tell me it's their one syllable. All i hear are Tanaka and SDC singling all the solos with Sayu singing the odd word here and there while the other 7 members sing one syllable by themselves. Come on Tsunku, be honest with us and just say that you couldn't be arsed to give the other 7 members decent solo lines. As fot the Matenrou Show -

It’s strongly reminicent of a dance classic, but this speed, this melody, this rhythm, this funk style*, the timbre, the mixdown…
They’re all put together in the latest style, and also the “Tsunku♂ style.”

This is just my opinion, but I don’t think many composers write songs like this, and I made it thinking that it was kind of my specialty. At any rate, I love this kind of dance music.

Yes Tsunku, This is your style. it has every retro styled song you have every written for anyone in ever in this song. and but the way, Tokyo Girls Style are doing the retro music right now, they might not be very popular but that is their style and it sounds more original that this song. (Sorry bitch mode in full affect right now)

With this kind of funky song experience means everything, so for the members lacking dance experience, this is a pretty big hurdle, but I’d like them to overcome it.

The dance for this song is easier thatn the one for 123. It's just a shame that onlr Tanaka and SDC gets solos in this song. This would have been perfect if the other girls got solos or even duets in this song. I mean, Kudu, Fukuhime and Zukki have strong vocals and would sound great on this song. When i first heard this song, i thought that Fukuhime was singing lead but no, it was just SDC, but to her credit she did sound alright in some parts.

In more SDC news, she's getting another PB. FOR CRYING OUT LOUD, GIVE FUKUHIME A GOD DANM PHOTOBOOK ALREADY!!!! or even Eripon, Ayumi or Harunan,  but not SDC. Anyone but SDC.

One thing i ame glad about with H!P id that they are creating new sub units. I won't call them Units as they don't have new members ie Eggs but current members.

So the first group is called Peaberry and consists of DAWA and SDC. Great, the can't sing foreigner hater and the autotuned Demon child in a group together.

And DIY♡, Do It Youtself/Dance In Your Heart. Maimi, Chii, Miya, Nakky and Harunan. When i first heard about this group and what their name meant, i too thought "Why not Ayumi and Captain?" but than i looked closer, Chii has the longerst legs in Berrys, Maimi has the longers legs in C-ute, Miya had a goregous pair of pins and so does Nakky while Harunan had the longest legs in Momusu right now. Legs. Legs. This group is about Legs.

I'm more interested in DIY♡ then in Peaberry for obvious reason but it's still good that UFA has finally decided to take that poll that was prevously positioned up it's arse and is using it to actually wave the flag of war that they left in some box at the back of the cupboard in front of all these new idols. I'm looking forward to what they have next.

Morning Musume's One・Two・Three MV

OKAY!!!!!!!!!!

It's ok, Wasn't expecting too much to be honest but what disappointed me the most was how little screen time Zukki and Reina (i know) got.

Reina sings lead on this and she got royally shafted. While SDC (Soulless Demon Child) got half the MV, Reina had to share her screen time with the other members. When we should be seeing Reina during her lines, half the time we see other members, even SDC.

As for Zukki, i know Iikubo and Eripon also get as much screen time as her but she's at the back during the dance shot and her solo shots are less than a second each, in total she gets roughly about 2 seconds of solo screen time. We don't even get to see her smile.

ON a plus, Fukuhime is amazing in this. SDC pay attention to your senpai, THAT is how to look sexy. and Maa-chan really does look amazing in this. Her solo's have me wanting more.

But i really feel for Reina, Just when she finally gets to hog a camera she is forced to give it up to SDC.

Reina, i might not be you biggest fan but you really don't deserve this. You sing better, have a better personality and can act better and you get treated like this after 10 years of waiting in Ai's shadow.

Moning Musume's new profile pics

So their profile pics were updated for their 5th single. This might be the only thing i like about this single. The Matenrou Show wasn't very good for me. Too many reminders of previous H!P songs all thrown into this, plus, it's another Reina/Soulless Demon Child duet with a few others getting 1 line. Very disappointed Tsunku/UFA, very disappointed in you. But this post isn't about that, Its about these gorgeous costumes.

Gorgeous isn't she? The hair, the make-up, everything is perfection. Guess some might want her boobs to be a little bigger but who's complaining.

Tanaka's Next

Her hair and make-up are the same as always. for some reason, i like her in this outfit but that might just be because i love any shade of Blue.

Finally it's Fukuhime

I'm completely speechless. She's growing up so fast. She really is the new Sexy Musume, The Sexy Princess Musume.

Sayu has definately been at work here. Sayu can leave Momusu knowing that the PonPon's have taken the reins and will repersent Sexinees in the group from when she decides to graduate.
