I was watching the recent PV from C-ute and Berryz, and to me, the best dancers are Maimi, Nakky, Captain and Momoworld (not in that order tho) But i couldn't decide who out of Risako and Maimai was the weakest.
Since it seems that C-ute doesn't have a dance shot for Kiss Me, I'll use their Last single as a reference.

So the best song of 2010 is C-ute's Aitai Lonely Chistmas. something that i was expecting really. but what really got me was how many votes LilPir got for both their songs...and how many votes Seishun Collection got. I really didn't expect those songs to even gain a vote.
The votes can say one thing, but in terms of sales, C-ute's highest sales landed them in 6th place amoungst H!P. MM claimed the top 3 spots with all of their singles, while Berrys Koubou's Otakebi Boy came 4th and S/Mileage 5th with Bijin Mama. (I've been making a Database with all H!P singles and their sales figures and stuff...i know i'm really sad but at least i can say to an employer that i can set up and run a database, pratice makes perfect). Heres a break down of how the main groups/soloist faired this year
Morning Musume - Sold over 130,000 copies of their singles, highest chat position was #3 for Seishun Collection
C-ute - Sold nearly 100,000 copies of their singles, highest chart position was #5 for both Campus Life and Shock
Berryz Koubou - Sold over 80,000 copies of their singles, highest chart position was #3 for Otakebi Boy WAO!
S/Mileage - Sold nearly 80,000 copies of their major and indie singles, highes chart position was #5 for both Bijin Mama and Yume Miru 15sai
Mano Erina, Sold over 40,000 copies of her singles, highest chart position was #7 for Genkinmono de Ikou!

OK so the results are in and the charts have announced who's this weeks number one.
So out of 36 votes, Muten Musume got 20 and AKB got 16.
The Oricon chart says that AKB are hold the #1 spot with 826,989 copies sold, while Muten Musume aren't even in the top ten. They rank #13 with 7,336 copies sold.
I'm surprised that they even made the top 20 what with the lack of promotion that was done.
To tell the truth, i expected these results. As a H!P fan, i still have this undying hope that H!P can achieve #1 singles but i know that untill management start living in the present and not in the past that this is what is likely to happen in the future.
Take the last time AKB went up against MM, it was River vs Kimagure Princess. AKB won with over 100,000 copies to get their first number 1 while MM had to satisfiy with the 4th spot, even tho this was Koha's last release with the group.
I hate to say this but it makes me really upset that H!P won't listen to what the market is saying. The market is asking for edgy, youthful idols and all H!P can do is spend all their time promoting a new group and not promote their flagship group.
I know i'm not the 48's biggest fan, thats mainly based on me having the attention span of a new born baby, but i do admit that they are the number one idol group right now. I am trying to get to know them more, i have been reading Mina's reviews on their stages and i have been (but failing) to try to get to know all the girls aside from the front girls . . . . and Amina, but i can't deny that little bit of pain i feel in my heart when i see a magazine cover with AKB on the front, or when i see the #1 position go to AKB, i can't help but feel a little jealous of their current success and have those evil thoughts like "it won't last long","they only media whores","they can't sing live" etc, etc, etc.
To be honest, Muten Musume's song is one of the songs that i shut myself off from after 30 secs, something that happens quite often with most 48 singles and even a lot of H!P singles (can't help it, attention span of a baby there, hence the rant) mostly C-ute's and Mano's releases.
I've completely forgotten what the hell i was talking about. mmmmmmmmm. Nope it's gone, i can't remember what i was trying to say about this poll.
Anyway, i voted for AKB and as it turns out, the other 15 voters who voted with me were right. Give yourselves a slap on the back for being unbias (and bias if you are an AKB fan)

Anyway, it's that time again when i reveal the results of my polls. But i have a problem with 2 of them.
I DON'T LIKE TIES FOR 1ST PLACE.
Both the Berryz and C-ute Champion polls have members tieing for 1st place. Momo and Miya, Nakky and Chisa. I've made changes to those polls so everyone can vote again. and maybe Captain can win this time.
As for the others.
Eri won the MM 6th Gen poll with 5/11 votes. Tanaka 3/11, Miki 2/11 and Sayu, the current H!P Champion of this blog, as voted by you, the readers, only got 1 vote......and that was in the last couple of days.
Kanon is the S/mileage Champion with a win of 6/17votes. Saki was close with 5/17, Ayaka had 4/17 and Yuuka, the one who got a PB and solo DVD first out of the group, the one who is "most loved" out of the group, only got 2 votes (i know, i'm being a real bitch again, sorry)

Now.....as for the other polls. A quick check shows that S/mileage has a draw with both Wada and Fukuda on 3/8 votes. Maeda has yet to score. C-ute's Chisato Okai is leading with 3/9 votes. Berryz Captain is leading on 3/7 votes. I'll leave all these polls up for the next 2 weeks.
As you all know, Mano Erina and Natsumi Abe relased their singles last wednesday.
Now although Abe's single, Ame Agari No Niji No Youni, is really beautiful and shows us why Abe is s much better singer than Manoeri (you all know it true), it just couldn't beat Mano's Genkimono De Ikou!.
Mano came in at number 7
Abe came in at number 22
Now there are a number of reasons for this...
Abe hasn't been active as a singer since the end of 2008
Mano has been, like clockwork, releasing singles every 2 - 3 months since her major debut
Abe doesn't have H!P to help promote her anymore since they (basicly) kicked out all the elder club last year. And by help promote i mean using the collective H!P comcerts and solo concerts to introduce fans to the song
Mano have been, what i call PAA (Pulling An AKB, i.e plastering herself in magazine in just her underwear half the time (no dig at AKB, it's gotten them into the 2010 Asia Song Festival), in magazine recently
Mano has also been doing a load of dramas and movies recently and altho i think she should give up the singing and focus more on the acting, it has been a promotion waggon for her
Now while i think that Abe is the obviously better singer, it is a shame that she came so low. But Miss Mano, you really need to do better. When compared to your current H!P artists (not including S/mileage) your sales are bad.
Morning Musume - Highest Chart Position = #1
Berryz Koubou - Highest Chart Position = #3 (only due to poor promotion. Otakebi Boy should have gone #1)
C-ute - Highest Chart Position = #2 (Everyday Zekkouchou is shit but it still got a higher place than you)
And compared to Abe, Goto and Matsuura while in H!P, your still just as bad

Now i'm not hating on the girl but i think that UFA really need to find a new soloist asap. Yes Mano is cute, Yes she has a great body, yes she isn't singing those songs that make you wanna throw yourself under a bus and yes she is improving vocally but she wasn't good enough to begin with.
The conclusion to this is that for this Battle, It's Mano - 1, Ex H!P - nil.
The next battle is between Mano, Matsuura, Goto and Tsuji's new albums, again, all 4 releasing them on the same day, 24th November 2010.
From what i can gather, Tsuji's, which was just announced, is mainly aimed at mothers considering how she's pregres and been doing all sorts of stuff to do with snot-nosed brats (11-yr-old cousin . . . . . . nuff said, i'm really not a kids kinda girl)
My cousin started his first year of Seconary School (after looking it up in wikipedia, he just started middle school for all you Americans. Seconary School here in the UK is basicly your Middle and High school joined together. We offically leave school at 16 (Year 11 = 10th Grade) but majoriy of teenagers choose to go on to Further Education (6th form aka lower (year 12) and upper (year 13) sixth = Grades 11 and 12) in order to go to university at 18.) which means loads of homework for him and less computer time for me.
I've doubled the amount of time i spend job hunting and working part time
I've just gone and gotten myself a cuddley new bloke to cuddle up to and thus beginning to actually start having a life outside of the interweb.

Anyway, Poll Update, Yosshi won with 7/15 votes. I didn't think she'd win this poll, what with the amount of Tsuji fans there are. Specking of Tsuji, She came second with 5/15, next was Aibon with 2/15, guess not eveyone has forgiven her yet and Charmy only got 1 vote. Which means that Yosshi will now join Abe Natsumi, Yaguchi Mari, Goto Maki and Kusumi Koharu in the finals (If yur wondering why Goto and Koha are through without a poll vote well, thats cos....read me other poll post, they explain it all)

Seams i have a lot of ABK fans out there, Granted they do have a lot more imagingation when it comes towards their costumes.
