Fantsay! Juuichi Review

So i'm going to try my hand at reviewing Morning Musume's latest album, Fantsay! Juuichi. Please remember that i'm not good with words so if i sound really harsh, thats just the way i think and it's something that can't be changed.

Quick Update

Just a quick update.

Momoko and Chisat won the Champion of H!P poll and will face Sayu for Champion of Champions. Honestly, i could be bothered to get you all to decide between Momo and Chisa so i ust thought that it would be better that both of them go up against Sayu.

New poll, Best song of 2010, you have select up to 5 songs from the list of 23 songs. I've added the Risako/Mana and Oha Girl Maple singles as well since both singles hav H!P members.

As for the SKE/MM poll, MM won the poll but SKE wond that Battle meaning that the 48 are currently winning this war. It seems that Manoeri won the Album battle in the charts but Tsuji Nozomi won the Poll.

It was a tie for the LOVE LIKE CRAZY poll. it seemed that no one liked Goto Maki's versions and that the original line up and the Shuffle line up are the most popular.

i will go into more detail on these polls, but i only get about 3 hours a day on the net and i use most of it looking for jobs or training courses. I will have some new post coming but i really couldn't tell you when they will be up.

52nd Japan Records Awards

I was looking at the new section over at JpopAsia.com and new of the JRA (Japan Records Awards) was released.

It seems that S/mileage have won a New Artist award and are in the running for Best New Artist along with SNSD. I really hope they win it because they have worked so hard ever since joining the Egg project that this would really help boost their sales and hopefully encouage UFA to continue to promote them more than what they are doing with C-ute, Berryz and Moring Musume.

AKB48 have won Best Song with Beginner and are now just waiting to hear if they have won the grand prize. But they are up against last year's (and the year before), EXILE. Now i know nothing about EXILE or their song, I Wish For You, but i also hope that they win this arawd too.

The awards show will be on the 30th December.

While i was looking for something on youtube for a future post thats coming up, i thought to my self, "How many times have they done this song?"

So i looked it up

Personally, i love the song so i'm not too fussed which version i like the best cos al the girls here can sing. Altho, the most recent version is lacking in the energy that the original line up has (and the line distrubution the the original has as well)

Trying to give songs a chance.....

So to all fairness, i thought that i should give SKE's song a better chance and decided to watch the video again........

Can only find 46 sec previews of their song.

How stupid can their management be?

Come on! The put the FULL PV on youtube LONG before Morning Musume put up even a hint of their single up, and now they decide to take it down and put up only 46 second previews of the song? What? am i missing something here?

when you type in the title of their song １！２！３！４！　ヨロシク！this way, you get about 44 results with only the preview of the song. when typed 1, 2, 3, 4, Yoroshiku, nothing (it says 10 results but it's really nothing). When you just type SKE48 4th, you get 25 results.

Granted their preview has 136,000 views but Morning Musume have their FULL pv up and running a view count of nearly 20,000 views in 2 days and thats just off THEIR offical account. There's about 132 results when you search for モーニング娘。 女と男のララバイゲーム, 87 results for Morning musume 44th and about 150 results for Onna to Otoko no Lullaby Game, all Full PV's and 1 minute previews. Majority of those videos are getting about 10,000 hits each, the first page alone has about 270,000 hits.

I have noticed that OOO48's thend to have most of the fans take down their videos or disable the audio to a video. While UFA seem to just let the videos go. To me, this is good PR for international fans as it gives us easy access to H!P and with the added bonus that UFA has their own channel as well.

(and yes i know SKE and AKB have their own channels as well but it's the same thing with them as well)

LOOK! i am tryiong to like SKE's single but no matter how many times i listen to that 46 second preview, i still turn off after 15 seconds.

So on youtube, there are a load of dance covers of H!P songs. Lots of girls (and guys) like to learn the dances, film themselves doing the dances hen uploading them on to youtube. These the talentless Becki Cruel and than there's my favourite who is an 8 year old girl named Cuca-chan or 3u10, a girl that needs to be up on stage danceing and singing with H!P (or any other idol group that will put her popularity on youtube to good use).



But there is some one who is taking her place.



YES! Okai Chisato has released a dance cover of C-ute's Dance de Bakoom!.....That means she has an up over ALL of the Youtube dance cover artists......considering that she IS in C-ute.

Hopefully she'll (or who ever is allowing her to do these and uploading them for her) will continue to do more. The dances i would love for her or any other c-ute member (mainly Maimi cos she iz 1 sick dancer man) to do would actually be any dance from another H!P group as well as their own. Just think about it, you could get Maimi dancing Onna ni Sachi Are or Mikan by Momosu, or Airi actually dancing to Shock! (I.E not just standing there looking pretty). Hell even have the girl covering Rival or Watashi ni Mirai no Danna-sama by Berryz. The possiblites are endless.

For now it seems that C-ute having their own youtube channel is more benifital to Chisa fans right now. Hopefully who ever is looking after Berryz channel will update it with.

And by the way, Berryz, C-ute, Manoeri and Upfront's channels allow you to comment, something which Upfront wasn't doing before. Hopefully this is a good step towards making H!P the best Idol company again.

New PV's

So UFA have decided to release PV's a few weeks in advance

OMG

Are they starting to listen to what us mere mortals, who happen to be the ones who buy the stuff they release for their artist, have to say? Are they finally realising that there is competition out there for the number one idol agency?

Poll Results

OK so the results are in and the charts have announced who's this weeks number one.

So out of 36 votes, Muten Musume got 20 and AKB got 16.

The Oricon chart says that AKB are hold the #1 spot with 826,989 copies sold, while Muten Musume aren't even in the top ten. They rank #13 with 7,336 copies sold.

I'm surprised that they even made the top 20 what with the lack of promotion that was done.

To tell the truth, i expected these results. As a H!P fan, i still have this undying hope that H!P can achieve #1 singles but i know that untill management start living in the present and not in the past that this is what is likely to happen in the future.

Take the last time AKB went up against MM, it was River vs Kimagure Princess. AKB won with over 100,000 copies to get their first number 1 while MM had to satisfiy with the 4th spot, even tho this was Koha's last release with the group.

I hate to say this but it makes me really upset that H!P won't listen to what the market is saying. The market is asking for edgy, youthful idols and all H!P can do is spend all their time promoting a new group and not promote their flagship group.

I know i'm not the 48's biggest fan, thats mainly based on me having the attention span of a new born baby, but i do admit that they are the number one idol group right now. I am trying to get to know them more, i have been reading Mina's reviews on their stages and i have been (but failing) to try to get to know all the girls aside from the front girls . . . . and Amina, but i can't deny that little bit of pain i feel in my heart when i see a magazine cover with AKB on the front, or when i see the #1 position go to AKB, i can't help but feel a little jealous of their current success and have those evil thoughts like "it won't last long","they only media whores","they can't sing live" etc, etc, etc.

To be honest, Muten Musume's song is one of the songs that i shut myself off from after 30 secs, something that happens quite often with most 48 singles and even a lot of H!P singles (can't help it, attention span of a baby there, hence the rant) mostly C-ute's and Mano's releases.

I've completely forgotten what the hell i was talking about. mmmmmmmmm. Nope it's gone, i can't remember what i was trying to say about this poll.

Anyway, i voted for AKB and as it turns out, the other 15 voters who voted with me were right. Give yourselves a slap on the back for being unbias (and bias if you are an AKB fan)

Not sure if anyone knows this but Up Front have some recordings of Matsuura Aya' lives at the cotton club.



This Channel is called UpFrontTunes.

I think this channel is for all music acts under UFA that are not with H!P or NGP nor T-Pistonz+KMC GOOD (But there are no YuiKaori PV's considering that they are members of UFA's Happy Style company and Noto Arisa, who's basicly plasted on the first page of that site, is also a member and she has videos up on UFA's channel.)

So Three things happened this weekend that need to be celebrated.

1. This blog reached 1,000 views YAY!!!
2. I celebrated my 25th on saturday *crys*
3. AKB48 Team B Member Amina Sato turned 20 on Saturday YAY!!

and i want to say a big thank you to Chobineko over at H!O for wishing me a happy birthday.....will rant about strangers and so called friends on my other blog.....but i just wanted to thank her for that message.

A quick update, Both the Berryz and Cute polls are now closed, will be posting the results soon, currently Linlin and Aika are tied in the 8th gen poll and Muten Musume and AKB are also tied in the who'll win pt1 poll. Morning Musume are currently beating SKE in the who'll win pt2 poll. Ayaya has been leading the H!P Album battle since day 1, but Tsuji is slowly creaping up on her lead.

How Morning/Muten Musume can win against AKB/SKE48

Now the last time AKB48 went up against Morning Musume was with River/Kimagure Princess, and AKB won, although it was a better song by far and deserved to win the no#1 spot....Unlike Ponytail to Shushu and even Heavy Rotation to a point. KP was a good song too but it just wasn't as good as River. But how can MM Beat AKB this time?

That Time Again

Can't seem to get use to using a laptop again.

Anyway, it's that time again when i reveal the results of my polls. But i have a problem with 2 of them.

I DON'T LIKE TIES FOR 1ST PLACE.

Both the Berryz and C-ute Champion polls have members tieing for 1st place. Momo and Miya, Nakky and Chisa. I've made changes to those polls so everyone can vote again. and maybe Captain can win this time.

As for the others.

Eri won the MM 6th Gen poll with 5/11 votes. Tanaka 3/11, Miki 2/11 and Sayu, the current H!P Champion of this blog, as voted by you, the readers, only got 1 vote......and that was in the last couple of days.

Kanon is the S/mileage Champion with a win of 6/17votes. Saki was close with 5/17, Ayaka had 4/17 and Yuuka, the one who got a PB and solo DVD first out of the group, the one who is "most loved" out of the group, only got 2 votes (i know, i'm being a real bitch again, sorry)

Yes, Chisa has announced that she WILL be getting a PB which will be released just before Christmas on 22/12

YAY!!! I'm so happy. This gives me enough time to save up to buy it. Now all i need is for Captian to announce that she's getting one and i'll be the happiest little fangirl around (than i'll go buy all of Eri's and Maasa, Chi and Nakky's PB's too.)

Confessions

So i'm sat at work, bored out of my head and decided to check out what posts International Wota has recommended. I stumbled upon Sora to Kujira. So, being bored and the shop being empty due to local council being pooheads and kissing Tesco's (a major supermarket) butthole, i started to read some of his posts.

One post got me really thinking (well 2 but this one got me really thinking), it was his post on his J/K-pop confessions. So i'm going to share with you all of mine.

1. just realised that i found Aitakatta by AKB48 at the same time as Berryz
2. i secertly like Risako, Maimi and Sayumi but for different reasons
3. boy bands piss me off in general but i'll still listen to their music
4. my favourite song currently on my iPod is Iiwake Maybe
5. even tho i think their songs are generally shit, i still listen to C-ute and AKB songs
6. Aichan, Reina and Sayumi need to be the ones graduating from MM not Eri, Linlin and Junjun
7. i think Ai Takahashi and Airi Suzuki are overratted
8. when i eventually found out that Aitakatta was an AKB song, i just couldn't be arsed to learn about them
9. really can't be arsed to learn about K-pop
10. i spend way to much time now watching anime now than actually researching AKB and other j-pop artist
11. my first thought about AKB was that the belonged to H!P and that they were some kind of training school
12. i thought (and still think) Japanese idols are in legalised pedo ring
13. untill the shipping charges fall to a price that is good for those (like me) who reli on handouts to buy the things they want, that i will continue to download aisan music from file sharing sites. (i did buy Berryz 6th album and i got a good deal from amazon on Hangry and Angry's sadistic Dance album)
14. Can't understand why AKB feels the need to promote the same girls every time
15. Can't understand why Akb needs to have pvs in their underwear. i can't watch them as they make me feel like i'm a pedo (even tho i'm a girl)

18. Berryz has the better songs but C-ute has the better talent (minus Mai and Maimi) yet c-ute has had more promotion then Berryz which is not fair.
19. Chisato sings way better than Maimi

21. Risako needs to fix up and put just as much energy into her dancing as she does being a bitch
22. Original reason why i don't like Reina is because she never changes her hair style
23. New reason why i don't like Reina is because i think that her fans are racists (i know i'm generalising but this has come from an experience that happened at the beginning of the year when i ranked Reina last on Hello! Blogs ranking and some fagot decided to post racist remarks on my pervious blog. so far no other Reina fan has tried to do that again but hasn't tried to get me to change my mind either.
24. Do not understand why there are girls from SKE48 on AKB singles
